About Healthy Native Communities Partnership (HNCP)

Our Vision: Healthy and Strong Indigenous Communities

HNCP is a Native owned and Native operated 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Shiprock, New Mexico on the Navajo Nation. The main office is in Shiprock, NM and the scope of work serves Indigenous communities throughout the United States and First Nations in Canada. HNCP is guided by a three-member Board of Directors, all of whom are of American Indian and/or Alaskan Native descent.

When it comes to bringing people together to realize their vision of health and wellness, investing in communities generates change. We know that people in local communities have the passion, tradition and commitment needed to take the first and most powerful steps toward wellness. With a strong network and tools, community groups and organizations can mobilize powerful practices that are right for their communities. HNCP works with communities, organizations, and groups to develop, implement, and keep track of the health and wellness efforts in Native villages and communities.

HNCP facilitators have experience in design, development, implementation and evaluation of community health and leadership programs. Each of our staff and volunteers, have over 15 years of experience working with groups in Native communities and with Native-serving organizations.
